General information
Avant-Garde College offers various beauty training programs that meet industry standards and changing trends. Hairstylist, Advanced Esthetics, and Nail Technician programs each consist of theory and practical application instruction. Students will be issued a diploma upon successful completion of all course requirements.

Admission requirements: 
For all programs, prospective students must:
– be minimum 18 years of age
– have completed grade 11 or GED equivalent (mature student status considered)
– two pieces of ID

Financial assistance:
Avant-Garde is designated for student loan funding. Visit the Government of Saskatchewan website for more information about the Canada-Saskatchewan Integrated Student Loan program.

Class times:
Courses are full-time, 7.5 hours per day.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday 12:30 – 8 p.m.

The Avant-Garde Hairstylist program is a full-time 40 week course. Students must achieve a minimum grade of 70% to pass the theoretical and practical portions of this program. A diploma will be issued upon successful completion of all course requirements.

Course duration:
1500 hours/ 40 weeks/ 200 days/ 7.5 hours per day

Hours of attendance:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday 12:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Entry requirements:
Minimum age 18 with Grade 11 or GED equivalent. (Mature status considered.)

> Registration fee (payable at time of registration): $200
> Tuition: $9,600
> Books, supplies, & kit fee: $3200
> Total cost (tax incl.): $13,000.

*Registration fee is not a portion of the tuition amount and is non-refundable.

Hairstylist start dates:
February, April, June, August, September, October and December. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
