Avant-Garde dominates ABA new talent competition

Congratulations to Regina’s Avant-Garde Beauty College, which dominated the Allied Beauty Association (ABA) new talent competition, held  Sept. 26 at Evraz Place. Three Avant-Garde students competed in the for New Talent Women’s Trend Cut and Style category — walking away with top honours.

First place went to Cara Freed, second place to Alana Brausen, and third to Danielle Krish. They shut out their competitors. Way to go! While Avant-Garde places every year, this is the first time the beauty college’s  students have won all three awards in this category.

“This achievement makes our students and college more marketable in the industry for both employment and business opportunities,” said Lori Pawson, manager/principal at Avant-Garde Beauty College. “We are very proud of our students.”

A special thank you to Sheena Huber, who trained Avant-Garde’s students for this competition, and to Kirk Bishop from Elements Hair Design, who also helped the
students succeed.
